Can I get a cap in a different color or with a different logo? Can you make custom-made products?

Unfortunately, we are unable to produce custom-made caps.

We currently order the caps from a factory according to the specifications of our design. Unfortunately, individual special models cannot be manufactured in this process.

We are working on expanding the product portfolio so that there is something for everyone. If you have any ideas, suggestions or requests, please feel free to contact us by email at any time.

What is the difference between cotton and polyester caps?

We have already written a complete blog entry about this. You can find the whole article here.

What size do I need?

By default, most "One Size Fits All" or "One Size Fits Most" assume a head circumference of 58 cm. At BigBrains Co., we know that all heads are not created equal, so we always indicate our sizes to the inch product pages on. You can measure your head circumference either with a tape measure or, for example, with a piece of thread. Hold the thread for this above the eyebrows around your head hereabouts. Use your thumbs to mark where the thread wraps around the head. Then you can, for example, measure the length of the thread with a folding rule (colloquially "folding rule") and thus have found your head circumference for the ideal cap. You can find more detailed information in our blog post.

How can I wash or clean my cap?

Generally, we recommend that you always wash caps, hats and caps as gently as possible. With a hand wash with a travel detergent you do nothing wrong. More specific details often depend on the respective material and possibly prints or patches. We have written a detailed blog post about this, which you can find here.

Are you planning to release more caps? When are new models coming?

We plan to continuously expand the portfolio with new caps, beanies and hats in other designs or model types.

However, BigBrains Co. is only a part-time job / hobby. Therefore, it always takes a little longer until new models are available in stock. The assortment should grow successively, but the project must remain realistic and feasible.

If you don't want to miss any new models you can subscribe to our newsletter.

What do baseball caps have to do with baseball?

The first professional baseball players in the United States wore hats in the 19th century, and this is how the baseball cap got its origin. Early baseball caps were usually made of felt or straw and were known as "sun hats" because their main function was to protect players' eyes from the sun. In fact, the Brooklyn Excelsiors wore caps at a game in 1849, which is the earliest known example of headgear being worn by a baseball team.

Over time, the baseball cap has evolved into the modern design we are familiar with today. The logos and patterns on the front of the cap also gained prominence and are now an integral part of its appeal.

Why do rappers often wear snapback caps?

Caps have long been a staple in the hip-hop and rap scene, serving both practical and fashionable functions. From the beginnings of hip-hop in the 1970s to the present day, caps have made a significant contribution to the development of the genre and its culture.

In the early years of hip-hop, people wore caps for practical reasons like sun protection or to keep their hair out of their faces while dancing. But as the genre and the culture surrounding it became more prominent, snapback caps began to play a more stylish role.

The baseball cap, often worn sideways or backwards, was one of the first famous headpieces in hip-hop culture.
