It's been a long time since I last wrote a blog update here. The year has gone well for BigBrains so far. So far there have been seven new caps in 2024, some of which have worked well, others not quite so well, but that's part of it.
The store has currently generated around 50% more sales (at a relatively low level) than in the same period in 2023. Of course, I'm really pleased that the products have been so well received. The feedback I keep receiving in the form of reviews, emails and social media motivates me every time. However, for me BigBrains remains a project that I pursue on a part-time basis (more or less as a “paid hobby”), which is why I'm already super satisfied with the current level and won't force further growth just because of the effort involved.
New arrivals:
You can currently find two new sports caps in the store. A black Basecap as well as a white Fivepanel Cap. Both hats are made from a “dry-fit” material and are therefore sweat and moisture repellent. The caps are light, loose and suitable for sports, but also for everyday wear.
A special feature of the white sports cap is that the fastening on the back is made of nylon. This means that the cap is completely metal-free (no eyelets, fasteners or metal pins on the top). This has the nice side effect that those suffering from a nickel allergy can also wear the cap.
Both caps also have a slightly different sweatband on the inside. Where normally a cotton band is used (to absorb moisture), in this case we have used a mesh fabric to keep the head airy.
I myself have been wearing the prototypes of both caps for a few weeks while jogging and can confirm that no sweat stains form on the fabric.
Clearance:
I currently have a few discounted models in the store. This is the last chance to get these caps, as they will no longer be reordered after the sale. But don't worry, the portfolio will continue to rotate, so new models will certainly be added in the not too distant future.
